Summary (from Goodreads)

Title : Of Dreams and Rust (Of Metal and Wishes #2)
Author : Sarah Fine
Publication Date : August 4th 2015
Publisher : Simon & Schuster

Goodreads

War erupts in this bittersweet sequel to "Of Metal and Wishes", inspired by The Phantom of the Opera and called “relentlessly engrossing” by The Romantic Times.

In the year since the collapse of the slaughterhouse where Wen worked as her father’s medical assistant, she’s held all her secrets close. She works in the clinic at the weapons factory and sneaks away to nurse Bo, once the Ghost, now a boy determined to transform himself into a living machine. Their strange, fragile friendship soothes some of the ache of missing Melik, the strong-willed Noor who walked away from Wen all those months ago—but it can’t quell her fears for him.

The Noor are waging a rebellion in the west. When she overhears plans to crush Melik’s people with the powerful war machines created at the factory, Wen makes the painful decision to leave behind all she has known—including Bo—to warn them. But the farther she journeys into the warzone, the more confusing things become. A year of brutality seems to have changed Melik, and Wen has a decision to make about him and his people: How much is she willing to sacrifice to save them from complete annihilation?

Summary (from Goodreads)

Title : Siren's Fury (Storm Siren #2)
Author : Mary Weber
Publication Date : June 2nd 2015
Publisher : Harper Collins

Goodreads

Nym has saved Faelen only to discover that Draewulf stole everything she valued. Now he’s destroyed her Elemental storm-summoning ability as well.

When Nym sneaks off with a host of delegates to Bron, Lord Myles offers her the chance for a new kind of power and the whispered hope that it may do more than simply defeat the monster she loathes. But the secrets the Bron people have kept concealed, along with the horrors Draewulf has developed, may require more than simply harnessing a darker ability.

They may require who she is.

Set against the stark metallic backdrop of the Bron kingdom, Nym is faced with the chance to change the future.

Or was that Draewulf’s plan for her all along?

Today's WoW features two sequels with two beautiful covers! I loved both of the first books in both of these series and I'm very excited to get to these sequels, especially Siren's Fury, because Mary Weber is an evil woman and I still haven't forgiven her for the cliffhanger she left me with. Her evilness aside, this is a phenomenal fantasy series and you should definitely try it if you haven't read it!

Sarah Fine is also an absolute favorite author of mine. I've pretty much loved all the books by her that I've read, but I think Wen and Melik's story might be my favorite and the ending to Of Metal and Wishes was bittersweet but achingly beautiful. I obviously need this sequel in my life right now and anything else that Sarah Fine writes!

Have you read either of these series? What did you think?
