I hope you are having a lovely weekend. In today's edition of Nick's Random Gibberish, I'll be talking about my different hobbies!

1. Reading

Reading is probably the first hobby I every delved into. I started reading at a very young age because my parents pushed me into it. Even though they did shove books in my face, I never felt like it was a chore. To me, it was a complete delight. When I was younger, my parents took me to this HUGE toy store in Singapore and asked me to buy whatever I wanted. What did I do? I refused because all I wanted was books. I was that kid who didn't like playing with toys and would much rather read books. While my tastes in genres have changed, reading is still my number one hobby!

2. Cooking (and eating)

This is a relatively new hobby of mine. I helped my mom around the kitchen (on very rare occasions) while I lived at home, but my love for cooking really developed when I started college. Thankfully, I lived in a suite that had an attached kitchen, so when I quickly got sick of the cafeteria food. What they say about dorm food is true, it sucks really badly. So, I experimented with cooking and tried out all kinds of recipes. I even have a fancy recipe that I made to make ramen taste better. I'll admit that my food wasn't all that great in the beginning, but it has progressively gotten tastier. If anyone wants to come visit me for dinner, you're more than welcome to come see me! ;)

3. Dancing

I absolutely love dancing ... in private! I'm an awkward dancer but whenever I'm in a sucky mood, I'll put on some music and jam to all kinds of songs. I also recently took up Zumba, and it's a lot of fun!

4. Photoshop

Photoshop is one of those things at which I'm not very good at, but I still enjoy experimenting with it. My interest in PS began about 6 years ago. I made my dad buy me a copy and then made edits with photos of celebrities. I made some pretty awesome ones and I showcased them on a blog that I had before my book blog. I eventually gave up on it when school got in the way of everything else. I do still try to dabble in a bit of designing a few things from time to time. My blog header, for instance, is edited by me! :)

5. Watching TV shows

I am completely addicted to television shows. Right now, I'm following about 10+ shows. I tend to gravitate more towards comedies and legal dramas! My current obsessions are How to Get Away with Murder and The Good Wife. I honestly don't know what I would do without TV shows. I'm one of those people who hates socializing and going out, so more often than not you'll find me curled up under my bed with Netflix on. It's good life!
