Super Exciting Announcement and The Future of Nick's Book Blog

Image
Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I took a step back from blogging last week, well in a certain way at least. During that time, I was rethinking every aspect of my life, blogging included. I had a chat with my friends Danielle, Tonya, Jess and Wendy on Whatsapp when Danielle mentioned that she was restructuring her blog. It really got me thinking and I texted Danielle's tweet to Nereyda and we discussed how we felt similarly too. Part of me feels like blogging has become so stressful for me. I've been posting regularly this past year and now if I don't have a review to post on a certain day, I feel like a failure. It's probably why I've been reading so many books so fast. And you know what? I don't feel like I'm getting the gratification that I used to.  This might come across as rude or mean, but I went away for one week (without commenting back on blogs) and there were some commenters who regularly commented on my blog when I did on theirs

But a single phone call could be the key to climbing out of his downward spiral: a police brutality victim needs his help, and the family's willing to pay. Big-time. Issabella Bright's daily panic attacks aren't entirely due to her decision to forgo a flashy firm and go out on her own, but that's a large part of it. She never thought she'd resort to ambulance chasing, until the story about a SWAT raid gone wrong proves too intriguing to ignore—it's the perfect chance to prove she made the right decision. But Issabella's not the only one after the job. Darren's connections are e

BFF Blog Hop : My Favorite New Blogger + Giveaway

Image
Hello everyone I'm very excited to be part of the BFF Blog Tour hosted by Fiction Fare and Swoony Boys Podcast because I get to present to you one of my favorite bloggers/new internet friend that I have been lucky to befriend this year. Most of you probably already know her, but if not, say hello to Aentee at Read at Midnight. I discovered Aentee's blog most probably through reading the comments at The Social Potato. I clicked on her blog link and I swear to you guys, I was stuck on their for hours. I immediately sent Nereyda a message and basically told her "This girl's blog is so pretty! I can't stop staring at her gorgeous graphics!". Then, I started reading some of her reviews and posts and I couldn't get over how eloquent she was. She might be a new blogger in blog age-wise, but this girl is masterful at what she does and from what I've seen a lot of her readers would agree with that.  Here are my top 4 reasons for choosing Aentee as my favori

Monthly Recap : September 2015

Hey everyone! How did everyone's September go? Mine was pretty good in terms of my personal life. School is obviously kicking my butt and I started my new job as well. I barely have time to read and blog these days, so if you don't see me commenting around as much, that's probably why. I have been good about trying to catch up with reviews over the weekend though. Just last weekend, I wrote 6 reviews! I obviously didn't read as many books as I did the previous month. I think this was my lowest reading month of the year (BOO!), but I'm actually kinda glad that I'm reading slower since I need the break badly. Here's my reading recap for this month!
