No kissing. No touching. And definitely no falling in love...

Armed with her besties, an embarrassing number of shots, and her list of 10 Wild Things To Do Before Adulthood, recent grad Cameron Lawson is partying it up before she starts her dream job at New York's biggest ad agency. Her last task? Hook up with a random guy. And while it's so not her style, the super-sexy guy sitting next to her is definitely game. No names. No details.

At least, that was the plan.

On her first day of work, Cameron discovers her hook-up is none other than Aidan Truitt—her new boss's boss. Talk about failing the “no fraternizing with coworkers” policy on an epic level. Especially when Aidan makes it clear their one night was only the beginning. Falling for him could cost her everything, but sometimes the only way to get what you want is by breaking a few rules...

Personal Thoughts

New Adult as a genre is so rife with angsty and melodramatic books. It's rare to find books in the category that are pure fun, so when one like No Kissing Allowed comes by, I'm quick to jump on board them. Melissa West's The Taking trilogy is one of those underrated YA series that I thoroughly enjoyed. The romance, especially, was butterfly-inducing. I knew going into No Kissing Allowed that she would excel at NA because of how good she is at writing romance in general.

I loved that No Kissing Allowed was an angst-free book without the characters having too dramatic of pasts. This book was fun and I completely appreciated the fact. Driven, passionate and hard working, Cameron as a protagonist was easy to love. She was very dedicated to her success in her career and I loved that she wasn't willing to take anything offered to her on a platter, but that she actually sweat to be able to achieve her dreams. Cameron was also pretty up-front about what she wants in a partner, commitment, which was refreshing because most often than not, there is this hook up culture that is portrayed in books. She wanted a relationship that would go somewhere in the future and had no qualms being open about it. Aidan, her love interest and boss, was the complete opposite of her when it came to relationships, but he was still a gentleman and a sweetheart through and through. He, too, like Cameron was driven and passionate about his job and I loved that about both of them. I loved how sweet he was and how he was willing to actually make changes to his beliefs and practices for the sake of Cameron. His and Cameron's relationship was healthy, sweet and full of swoony moments. They did have to keep their relationship secret for most of the book because of office love affairs being forbidden, but that just added to the intensity of their relationship. Some of my favorite scenes in the book involved Cameron's family who were really down to earth and sweet. Watching Aidan interact with them having never experienced that kind of family before was wonderful. Cameron also had some really loveable friends, some of whom I hope will get their own books, because those girls sure sounded like a lot of fun.

No Kissing Allowed was a sweet romance book that entertained me from start to finish. If you are more into fun NA romance books set in a big city, I highly recommend this one.
