Gaaah! This sounds very much like an urban fantasy book which I definitely think needs to be more of a genre in YA. It sounds like it's going to be really badass. The only thing I hope goes away soon is the crush on the best friend's boyfriend! Sister-code!! Still though, I'm looking forward to reading this one just for all that dark magic and the predatory creatures.
