She wants one night. He wants her forever.

Hayden Summers just landed the job of a lifetime taking pictures for Time magazine, but she’s determined to leave with no regrets. The first thing on her list? Erase the memory of her cheating ex with a wild night of anonymous sex. The second? Figure out why her best friend, sexy bar owner Jace Jennings, stopped speaking to her the night she told him about the job.

Jace has a problem. Hayden isn’t just leaving the country, she’s risking her life—just when he’s realized he’s in love with her. When fate traps them in the storage room of his bar together, barely contained desire simmers to surface. In one last attempt to keep her, Jace offers Hayden the one thing she wants: a night of hot sex, no strings attached. But when the night is over, will Jace be able to let her go? And will Hayden leave with her heart intact?

Personal Thoughts

No Strings Attached was a short novella spanning less than 60 pages, yet I was thoroughly enjoying myself throughout and by the end I wanted more. Hayden has just landed her dream job, taking pictures for Time magazine in a war-zone and her best friend is mad at her for leaving. On the day  before she leaves, Hayden decides it's time for a wild night. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for her, she winds up stuck in a bar storage closet ... with Jace! What ensues is the release of all that sexual tension they both had. Jace has been in love with Hayden forever, but he has been unable to express his feelings for her. This might have been an uneventful book because it's so short, but I loved Hayden and Jace together. They were a lot of fun together. At the end of the book, I was a little worried that Jace would prevent Hayden from pursuing her dream job, but I was glad with the outcome. Short, fun and sexy!

When one touch isn’t enough, why resist?

Road trips are supposed to be fun. Or, at least, full of hot sex. For photographer Lilly Grayson, the fifteen-hour drive to her friend’s wedding with Nate Jennings will be neither. Not that Nate isn’t sexy—the man is six-foot-three-inches of mouth-watering Marine. But Lilly’s been there, done that…and he walked away. Now it’s time for a little payback. The kind that’ll make a man desperate for a taste of what he can’t have.

And Nate wants a taste—so badly that he can barely keep his hands on the wheel. But the scars and ghosts of his last tour still haunt him. He can’t give into temptation, not this time. Lilly deserves a whole man—one who can love her the way she deserves to be loved, even if she doesn’t believe it can happen. And that can’t be Nate. Not when he’s leaving again in two weeks, and this time, he’s not sure he’ll return…

Personal Thoughts

Tempting the Soldier was a book I jumped into immediately after finishing No Strings Attached. I was curious about Lily, Hayden's best friend and Nate, Jace's older brother. From the start of the book, it's clear that something happened between the two of them that left Lily heart-broken, so when she is forced to drive with him to Hayden's wedding, she is frustrated and refuses to give in to Nate. Lily was fun main character. She was feisty and fiery and didn't mince her words. Nate, on the other hand, was frustrating. I understood where he was coming from, but that didn't mean it was any less annoying how he would constantly push Lily away in fear of hurting her. Their chemistry was off the charts though! Their make-out scenes? Holy smokes! All in all, this was fun read and I recommend reading it if you're looking for a fun and steamy read!
