Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.

Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

Personal Thoughts

Reading the last book of a series always has me on the edge. I worry that I won't get the ending I've been craving and that I'll be sorely disappointed. The Under the Never Sky series is my favorite dystopian series, so my nervousness when going into Into the Still Blue was even more intense, but I had nothing to worry about because Veronica Rossi wrapped up Aria and Perry's story beautifully.

The characters in this series are what makes it such a memorable one. Aria, Perry, Roar and the gang are painted so realistically, it's hard to not to love them. They smile, they cry, they fight, they love, they make mistakes, they grow and they basically do everything that regular people in their places would have done. It's amazing how Veronica Rossi made them seem so authentic, especially in a dystopian. Aria and Perry have grown so much throughout the series. Watching them mature and learn from their mistakes has been one of the most emotionally draining and pleasant experience. The romance between them has never been perfect. It has always had its ups and down, without having the completely unnecessary drama such as insta-love, miscommunication and love triangles. Aria and Perry have learned to become better people because of each other, but they also know how to be independent and stand up for themselves. Speaking of love triangles, I will always always respect Veronica Rossi as an author for not bringing up a silly love triangle between Aria, Perry and Roar. Aria and Perry have never been more than just good friends and that is something I highly appreciate. Not often do we see a friendship between a straight guy and a girl in YA literature.

The plot itself was action-packed and while it did take me some time to get into the story initially, I was completely invested in it by the time the intense scenes started. I want to delve more into the plot of this third book, but I'm afraid I'll spill out things I shouldn't. In brief, know that the plot in this series is a roller-coaster ride, playing with your emotions, but at the end of the day, it's a brilliant one that will forever be dear and near to me. Another thing I would like to point out is that the third person POV almost never works for me, but Veronica Rossi is one author who knows how to use it well along with the dual POV. My only complaint with this final installment is that I felt like I needed something a bit more dramatic and not as rushed than what I got. Regardless though, this was a fantastic conclusion to one of my favorite series.

For those of you who have yet to try this series, read it and fall in love with these beautiful characters and their relationships.
