Personal Thoughts

Megan Erickson is one of my favorite NA authors. When I discovered that she was releasing an Entangled Brazen (total guilty pleasure of mine) featuring a sexy nerdy guy, every bone in body basically screamed "WANT". I was fortunate enough to be able to get an ARC and as soon as I saw it in my inbox, I immediately dove in and holy crap did Megan Erickson deliver in every way!

The entire time I was reading Changing His Game, I had hearts in my eyes, because AUSTIN RIVERS made me want to do very inappropriate things to him. Seriously guys, if you for even once thought that nerds could not possibly be sexy, you have got to meet Austin who make you fall in lust love with him. It's finally the time for these nerds to shine! When we first meet Austin, he had this stiff demeanor to him, but when he gradually opens up throughout the book, it was an absolute delight. I loved his character so much and I especially enjoyed his dynamics with his best friend Grant's daughter. Guys, he takes her out frequently and goes to picnics and everything. How was my heart not supposed to melt at that? Austin truly was a sweetheart and I loved watching him become more welcoming in the presence of Marley. I couldn't help but fall in love with him and so will you! Marley, his love interest, was another breath of fresh air. I loved this girl as much as I loved Austin, which is such a rarity when it comes to me. I loved that she was so smart, but mostly that she was fiercely independent and driven when it came to her career. She was among the very few women at her gaming magazine, but she was also one of the most hardworking ones. She pushed through to reach her goals and I completely appreciated that about Marley. You've got to love a girl who doesn't allow issues like potential sexism drive her away from things that she wants.

The dynamics between Austin and Marley was explosive. Seriously, you're going to need a fire extinguisher when you read Changing His Game because I sure did. Megan Erickson knows how to do romantic and sexy. She certainly had me melting into a puddle of goo and flaming all kinds of shades of red while I was reading the book. And get this, Austin Rivers was not only a nerd, he was a sexy, dirty-talking nerd!! *SWOON* I blushed every single time that Austin opened his mouth, to be honest. I couldn't help it. There were so many delicious scenes, guys! There relationship wasn't only a physical though. Throughout the book, Austin and Marley developed a strong emotional connection as well and I loved watching the two of them open up to each other. It made the romantic in me sigh in happiness so many times. I also loved the teasing nature of their relationship. These two were so freaking cute together and I loved that they had so many shared interests. It made their relationship seem so much more realistic and even though this book fell on the shorter side, I never felt like their relationship was rushed. It's just the way that Megan Erickson writes. You can't help but fall in love with every element of her books. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in Changing His Game, especially Marley's riot of a brother, Chad and Grant. The first thing I asked Megan after finishing the book was whether we'd be getting books for them and you can imagine my excitement when she told me that Grant's book was next!

Brazen lovers will LOVE Changing His Game. Guys, if you're in the mood for a sexy, playful and fun romance novel with characters that make you want to cheer for them and sexy scenes that will make you want to go jump into a pool of ice, this is the book for you. I can't recommend it enough!

Author Biography

Megan worked as a journalist covering real-life dramas before she decided she liked writing her own endings better and switched to fiction.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. When she's not tapping away on her laptop, she's probably listening to the characters in her head who won't stop talking.
