She’s the one that got away. He’s the one she can’t forget.

Photojournalist Christine Forsythe is ready to tackle her naughty little to-do list, and who better to tap for the job than a hot groomsman? But when she crashes into her best friend’s older brother, Christine realizes her list needs updating. And fast. Tyler Dresco took her virginity during the best night of her life, then bolted. Now that they’re trapped together at a destination wedding, she’s going to get her revenge.

Tyler has never forgiven himself for how completely he lost control all those years ago. Being in Christine’s arms had felt right…until he realized what he’d taken from her in the hallway of a cheap motel. And oh, how she’s making him pay for it now. The insatiable heat between them has only grown stronger, but every time things heat up, Christine walks away.

With every encounter, things go a little bit further until Christine’s caught in her own trap of seduction. And before their time’s up, Tyler’s not the only one wanting more…

Personal Thoughts

Some of you may have already seen my mini-review for Falling for the Groomsman last week, but I decided to write up a longer version because I unknowingly signed up for two blog tours. I mentioned in my min-review that this book was my favorite in the Wedding Dare series. It had a lot of elements that I typically enjoy in my romance novel and it was just such a fun and thrilling read.

What made the book so much fun for me were the wonderful characters. Christine and Tyler were both great characters and them together was an even greater. They both shared a history when they wound up sleeping together in a motel hallway after Christine's graduation in Mexico. Scared of the outcomes, Tyler ran away. Years later they now meet again at Tyler's sister's wedding weekend and they can't deny the sparks that still exist between them! Second chance romances are one of my favorite romantic tropes and Diane Alberts knew how to use this trope without making the book overly cliched! I definitely loved her take on it. The atmosphere between Christine and Tyler was tense from the very beginning and it was so electrically charged, it had me turning the pages rapidly because I couldn't wait to get to that moment where all the fiery chemistry just exploded! Boy was it satisfying!

Another part I really enjoyed in Falling for the Groomsman was the banter between the couple. Tyler and Christine were actually kind of hilarious together and the banter felt so realistic and made me laugh multiple times. One of the things that usually bugs me in contemporary romances is that there has to be a giant twist or turn that temporarily separates the couple, but there is no such thing in Falling for the Groomsman and I truly appreciated it. It's entertaining reading a romance novel that doesn't have an overwhelming amount of drama and obstacles.

Overall, if you enjoy reading romance novels that are entertaining, having swoon-worthy heroes and are low on the drama end, I highly recommend Falling for the Groomsman by Diane Alberts! Definitely not to be missed by romance fans!
