Blog Tour Stop : Finders Keepers by Nicole Williams

The Finders Keepers Blog Tour was organized by AToMR Blog Tours.

Hi guys!

I'm so excited to be part of the Finders Keepers blog tour! I loved the first two books in the series and I was dying to read this companion novel. I'm happy that it didn't disappoint.
I'm sharing with you guys my review of the book and a giveaway! Be sure to check out the other tour stops here.

Summary (from Goodreads)

Title : Finders Keepers (Lost & Found #3)
Author : Nicole Williams
Publication Date : September 16th 2013
Publisher : Self-Published
Goodreads - Amazon - Barnes & Noble

There’s tortured. And there’s Garth Black.

His life has been a constant carousel of tragedy and disappointment, including his love life. Of course, applying the term “love” to Garth’s conquests is a gross misuse of the word. Some people were made to give and accept love, and others weren’t. Garth Black redefines the “others” category. He’s made a vow that the day he meets a woman who could sucker him into falling in love will be the day he runs away.

Garth’s plan has one flaw. What happens when he’s already fallen hard for a girl before the warning signs and red flags go up? What happens when the love he’s avoided his entire life brings him to his knees? What happens when Garth Black lets the dirtiest four letter word he’s ever known into his dark, lonely life?

This cowboy’s about to find out he can control some things, and he can’t control others. Number one on the what he can’t control list?

Love.

Personal Thoughts

Finders Keepers might as well have been my most anticipated NA read this year. This is actually quite shocking because I never in a million years thought that I would want to be in the head of Garth Black, one of my most hated characters in the first book, Lost and Found. Somehow, Nicole Williams went ahead and made me fall hard for him over the second book and I knew I needed to get my grabby hands on this book after the events of the previous book.

Like I mentioned above, Garth Black was a character that I absolutely loathed in the first book for what he did to his best friend Jesse. He was such a toxic character and his very presence would make me want to jump into the book and strangle him. In the second book, we got to see a different side to him. The reader got to see what an amazing friend Garth was and how he deeply regretted having hurt Jesse. I loved his bromance with Jesse and the interactions they had were fantastic. Being inside Garth's head in Finders Keepers was a roller-coaster of a ride. I felt so many emotions while reading his thoughts and I pretty much grew even more in love with him. Garth was a complicated character, but he was also a character who had depth. What I really loved about him was how he was the kind of guy who learned from his mistakes. Of course, Garth wouldn't be Garth, without all the sass and and smart-ass comments, and the reader was treated to a few of those in this book. All in all though, I was delighted that Nicole Williams made me love a character who I initially hated, by showing his growth throughout the series.

The romance in the book was full of chemistry. It wasn't your typical NA romance because Garth and Josie have known each other for a very long time. Although they had been friends for a long time, a mistake on the part of both pulled them apart for some time. Garth and Josie were the perfect couple. I especially loved the snippets we got to see of their relationship when they were younger because it showed that they had been in love with each other for a long time. Josie was perfect for Garth because she was the only one, with the exception of Jesse, who could see through the image he tried to project. While everyone else labeled him all sorts of names because of who his father was, Josie would be the only one who treated Garth the way he deserved to be treated. What I loved about their relationship was how supportive and respecting of each other they were. My only complaint when it came to the romance was that I wanted a few more sexy scenes between the two of them because they had so much chemistry between them! (Yes, I know that makes me sound shallow!) I'm hoping that Nicole Williams will write a sequel to fix that! I had high hopes when I went into this book and Nicole Williams did not fail to deliver. She portrays human relationships in a realistic way, but I reckon her greatest talent lies in writing fabulous dialogues. After this wonderful series, she's on my auto-buy list.

If there is one NA series that I will recommend to everyone, it's the Lost and Found series. Although Finders Keepers can be read as a stand-alone, I would suggest reading the whole series first to experience Garth's character fully. Intense, romantic and emotional, Finders Keepers did not disappoint me one bit!
